Well hell I wrote this great (for me anyway) post this morning titled video capture and I went on and on about how when we start in this field most of are just interested in the paranorml and all of a sudden we are faced with things like aac,mwa,ntsc,mpeg,allophones,frequency and a million other things we took for granted when watching a movie or listening to music and now all of a sudden we have to learn all this stuff before we can even start trying to listen to that great EVP that we just know we caught last night. Then I went on about buying on a budget and software downloads,converting,recording and finally I got to my point which was dont buy cheap video capture devices,thats not the place to cut corners in the budget.The drivers(if you ever get them installed) will kill you and I wasnt going to use any names beside Im sure you all know which ones Im talking about and some of you, if your like me have a whole pile of the cheap pices of....well you get the point and then thats when it HAPPENED,technology bit me in the ass.MY COMPUTER RESTARTED BECAUSE OF WINDOWS UPDATES AND I NEVER GOT THE CHANCE TO SAVE MY POST.I just sat there shell shocked.My great literary masterpiece lost somewhere out there in internet land.I could mount a search,put up posters maybe call my congressman but nope its never coming back, just gone.So I sat there,took a drink of coffee and said "well hell" ,I changed the name of the post and started again, because that is what we do in this field as well as life.We get kicked in the face take another drink of coffee and start again. So keep on trucking guys do your best each day to get back in the saddle and I wish you Happy Hunting.
